From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17:26-27 niv

American Christians are rightly concerned about our future. Our nation is being transformed. The belief system about God, man and life that was our foundational rock is being replaced with moral, spiritual and intellectual quicksand.

But has the church in America been her Matt. 5:13-16 preserving salt and guiding light? Does the responsibility for her demise possibly rest at our feet? Were the seeds of the destruction of the America we have known, sown in the soil of our love for the world and the things of the world?

I believe that God specifically led our Founding Fathers to establish the principles that this great society was built upon. And He favored us so that He could reach the world with the Good News through us. Those who came before us did that well, but who would disagree that we have more recently turned from Him? Deut. 30:15-20 and 1 Peter 4:17 are still true.

Today’s chaos is not about Conservative/Liberal/Progressive, it is about our rejecting Creator God and replacing Him with other gods.

The Battlefront
American Christians are responding to our challenges more as Americans than as Christians. We are engaging in a political battle with an emphasis on our Constitutional rights, and have gone out on our own like Israel did at times, resulting in their defeat. It’s all very American but it’s not what God is calling the Church to. We need to retreat to the real battlefront.

Acts 17:26-27 (top) says that God appoints the times and sets the boundaries of the nations – as part of His helping them find Him! That, is what this is about. He is using our challenges in economics, politics, disease and more, to call us to Himself. Can we humbly acknowledge that?

So, the real battlefront is spiritual, and the only possible hope for America is gut-wrenching repentance across the Church. Jonah 3:10

Now is the Time
Now is the time for us to become the people of God in America. Our Christian identity must supersede our identity as Americans. Consider John 17:14-19.

We must do that because we want to be part of the Kingdom of God and what He is doing in our world today, not just so He heals our land.

When we do so, we will become the 2 Cor. 2:15-17 aroma of Christ to those around us and across our nation. And we will become her salt and light. We’ll trust God to take it from there.

We will be America’s most loyal citizens but will trust Him for her future. We will be secure regardless of what happens because our identity is in something greater.

Our gold, guns, 401K’s and CD’s will be worthless in the days to come. Our hope is in God and He will take care of His own. Psalm 5:11, 18:2, 23 and 91:1-2; and Matt. 6:19-34, Phil. 4:19 and Heb. 11 are still true.

As the darkness grows darker, the light is getting brighter. God is on the move as He advances us toward the day when Rev. 7:9 can be fulfilled! Bible translation for the remaining 2000+ languages is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. This is an incredible time in history to be about our Father’s business and we have many opportunities to do so.

Will you join His bondservants - - the growing army on the real battlefront? The worldwide, Spirit-led, purpose-driven Body of Christ which is comprised of men and women, young and old, of every level of education and social standing?

All who truly confess Christ as Savior and Lord are welcomed. We are connected by our blood-bought relationship to God and each other, and are unfettered by institutional and denominational boundaries. We are armed and dangerous as in II Cor. 10:3-6; equipped as in Eph. 6:10-18; and victorious as in I John 4:4-6. And you?
