SN Info  
    120's from 8003 through 11842, and 140's SN 8001 through 11,842, are 1946 aircraft
- The 1946 has the exhaust exiting at the back of the lower cowl. Note how many have been converted to the later exhaust, i.e. straight down, part way back the cowl.

  
  8002 Cessna 140, N41684 (NC). Photo is marked "Cessna 140, No. 2, 1945." If the first 140 was c/n 8001, and the first 120 c/n 8003, then this was 8002. Note wood prop, and probably a pre-production paint job.  
  8004 ? 2 x 3 Cessna 120, N41686 (NC). No electrical system. Two happy gals - I wonder which one propped it! I'm guessing that this is a very early and maybe even a prototype 120. Any help? Note Stearman NC54604 and a Fairchild PT-19 in the background. xx
