Military 185's, U-17's
Many 185's went into military service, mostly foreign governments under the U.S. Military Assistance Program. You can see a list here from Joe Baugher's incredible site, and you can search his site for other aircraft here. (Upper and lower case are important) There are several U-17C, 180's in the list.
The SAAF (South African Air Force) operated a number of 185's. From various sources I gather that there were 24 Cessna 185A's, beginning in 1962; 12 Cessna 185D's in 1965; four 185E's in 1967 and five in 1968. |
