Call Me "Father"

These words came to me in a quiet time on Jan. 19, 2013

You were born of a sinful father, and that you know very well. You were born again of a heavenly Father.
Your sense of who you are can only be rooted in one of those truths. You find yourself today, in whichever you chose as the father who tells you who you are; what you are; and what you will become.
It is only by my power in your life as the life-giving Father, that you can have true life. I am your only true Father. I am the one who gives you life forever. The one who lifts you above the broken life you inherited from your earthly father.
You have two fathers but only one Father. Allow me to call you “son” and to pass on to you the riches of my family, and all will be well. You will abide in the place of peace and of quiet spirit regardless of the circumstances of life.
You will be filled, when others around you are empty. You will have joy, when others are captured by sorrow. You will be running over, when others are seeking food and drink for their famished souls.
The key to this life is to know me as “Father.” To address me as that. To renounce all other identities, and all other definitions of who you are and of what you will become. Your task is to come, and I have already determined that all who come will be filled - - “satisfied” in the fullest sense of that word.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Jesus, Matthew 11:28-30 niv
